As an entrepreneur online ,offline, full-time, part-time society has a major impact on each and every one of us. Let me start with a simple story.
This weekend we had some guests. They work in major corporates. After an interesting lunch they enquired about our profession and I've showcased my work on our blog networks and explained my work.
They had their own questions. After lots of discussion it turned out that I'm wasting time and my vision is meaningless. I avoid arguments as I stop arguing with my beloved friends to maintian real good relationship.
This is a common issue that many entrepreneur does face on daily basis. Here are my thoughts on society and its impact on entrepreneurship
1) You Know Your Vision - Vision is more of subjective in nature. As this is not objective you know your vision, you are clear and confident that your vision is a target that can be definitely achieved, don't worry
2) You look at opportunity and your friends look at threat - This can be double edge sword. Your truly loving friends care a lot about you, they don't want you to miss your life, career, growth and advise you to be careful when you travel on your subjective vision. There is nothing wrong about that. Mostly people are scared of threats. An opportunity be it simple job change does carry some risk in it and is a threat indded. As an entrepreneur you dare to take risk
3) Society's doubt on your focus - This is a major problem many entrepreneur faces in their business life. Entrepreneurship is a 5 to 9 game not a 9 to 5 game. At times you need to extend, extend, extend. It demands lots of hard work during first few years and success is not guaranteed. Can you be focussed after lots of pressure? If you are confident of your focus and attitude don't give importance to society
4) Opinion differs - Your idea is naive and you see some opportunity in there. There is no need of a second person looking at things the same way. If you are sure of your opinion don't hesitate to try new things
