South Indian Ajman Seed Fritter

Ajman Seeds Fritter, Omam Podi, Omapodi as it is variously called is an exotic south indian fry popularly prepared during auspicious occasions like diwali, karthigai, marriage etc.Popularly served as a major component of major chat items including Sev puti, bhel puri etc
Ingredients Needed :
Omam/Ajman seeds/oma - 1tsp
Red Chillies - 4
Besan/Gramflour/kadalai maavu - 1 cup
Rice flour - 1 cup
Water - as needed
Method Of Preparation :
1) Grind omam and red chillies with water in a mixer grinder
2) Filter the omam mixture using a tea filter
3) Mix besan, omam water, salt
4) Fry the batter in form of fritters
Note : Apparatus specific to preparation of omam podi popularly called as kulal can be used
