Soan Papdi Rajasthani Sweet , Patisa Rajasthani sweet, Patisa or soan paapdi is a very famous sweet.
Ingredients Needed :
Besan/Garam Flour - 1.25cup
Maida/Plain flour/all purpose flour - 1.25 cups
Ghee - 250gm
Sugar - 2.50 cups
Water - 1.50 cups
Milk - 2tsp
Cardamom seeds powdered (crushed) - 1/2tsp
Char Magaz (rajasthani name (char -four; magaz - seeds)combination of four seeds - almonds, pumpkin seeds, cantaloupe seeds, water melon seeds) - 2 tsp
Thin polythene sheet - cut in required size
Method of Preparation :
1) Mix garam flour(besan) and maida (all purpose flour) together
2) Heat ghee in a pan
3) Add flour mixture and roast until it turns golden brown. Roast in a low flame
4) Keep aside and let is cool
5) Make a syrup using water, sugar and milk. Syrup should have crystalline consistency
6) Mix it with flour now
7) Mix well so that th mixture forms a thread like flakes
8) Apply ghee on top on polythene paper and apply this misture
9) Sprinkle seeds on top of this cake
