Coconut Rice, Thengai Satham - Variety Rice is a popular variety rice among south indian community.
Ingredients Needed :
Biryani rice - 1/2 kilo
Coconut(grated) - 200gms
Ghee - 50ml
Black gram dhal - 25mg
Broken pieces of nuts - 25mg
Dry chillies - as needed
Curry leaves - as needed
Asafoetida powder - as needed
Coriander leaves (finely chopped/minced) - as needed
Salt to taste
Method Of Preparation :
1) Boil rice and keep aside
2) Heat ghee in a pan.Fry the cashewnuts and remove
3) Fry coconut evenly to a golden colour on a slow fire
4) Fry the broken pieces of dry chillies, black gram dhal, and curry leaves well
5) Mix rice, coconut, nuts, 1 teaspoon of ghee and salt
6) Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
