A quick instant healthy recipe can be made out of soya balls/soya chunks. We can also substitute soya chunks with meal maker. This rice can be served best with curd as side dish. Here is the simple step on preparing soya chunk rice.
Ingredients Needed :
Jeera/cumin seeds - 1tsp
Black pepper - 1 tsp
Green chillies - 3 or 4 as needed
Red chillies - 3 or 4 as needed
salt - as needed
oil - as needed
Rice - soaked in water for 10 minutes
soya balls/chunks - 1 cup
Onion - finely chopped 1 cup
Method of preparation
1) Heat oil in a pan, add jeera, black pepper and saute well
2) Add onions,chillies, pinch of turmeric, salt to taste
3) Add soya chunks/meal maker chunks, 1/2 tsp garam masala and mix well
4) Add rice, salt as needed, water to cook the rice
5) Pressure cook it for 5 to 10 minutes
This can be served hot with savouries, curd etc.
