Bell pepper rice also called as capsicum rice is an exotic variety rice from south indian community. We can make use of green capsicum or green capsicum, red pepper, yellow pepper can be used to prepare this delicious cuisine.
Ingredients Needed :
Mustard seeds - 1tsp
Red Chillies - 4
Cumin/jeera - 1 tsp
Urad dhal - 2tsp
corriander seeds/kothamallivirai - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 strand
ground nuts/peanuts/cashew nuts - 1 tsp
Capsicum - finely cut
Ghee/butter - as needed
Salt - as needed
Finely cooked rice - 1 cup
Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
Method Of Preparation :
1) Dry roast red chillies, mustard seeds, cumin,urad dhal, corriander seeds, curry leaves, peanutsin a medium flame. Saute until urad dhal turns brown in colour
2) Grind it well to coarse consistency and add garam masala. Mix well
3) Heat butter and fry capsicum. Add salt to it.
4) Add teh coarse mixture to capsicum
5) Mix well with cooked rice
6) Finally decorate with corriander leaves
