Jeera poli is a south indian sweet served in south indian occassions like marriage, baby shower and is specially prepared during diwali. This is an interesting sweet in our diwali sweet series.
Ingredients Needed :
Sugar - 1 cup (Mix with 1/2 tumbler water and prepare string like consistency also called as pagu)
Maida - 2 cup (Mix it to poori consistency)
Oil - as needed
Method Of Preparation :
1) Prepare sugar in a string like paagu fashion and keep it aside
2) Prepare small pooris out of maida flour
3) Fry the pooris in oil
4) Soak the pooris in jeera and keep it aside. Allow it to dry
In short jeera poli is maida pooris dipped in sugar syrup. It is similar to that of a badusha sweet.
