This is a most popular cuisine that is prepared during festivals like vinayagar chaturthi, nonbu like karadaiyan nonbu and some other south indian festivals
This is a kozhukattai variant of rice upma also called arisi upma and is best served alongside tomato chutney/ thakalli thokku
Ingredients Needed
Rice - Soak in water for two hours, drain and dry it, grind it, sieve it and remove the hard portion called rice rava
oil - as needed
salt - as needed
curry leaves - as needed
mustard - 1/2 tsp
urad dhal - 1/2 tsp
channa dhal - 1/2 tsp
Green chillies - as per taste
Red chori - boiled - 1 cup
ginger - 1/2 tsp
Method of preparation :
1) Heat oil in pan, add mustard, hing, urad dhal, channa dhal, green chillies, curry leaves, ginger
2) Add red chori and add water. Add salt and let it boil
3) Add the rice rava and let it boil for few minutes
4) Prepare kozhukattai patties and pressure cook for few minutes
