Lentil Paste Paruppu thuvaiyal Thoor dhal paste Channa dhal paste

Paruppu thivaiyal a major fine paste made of lentil acts as the main course. It can be best served along side vegetable gravy (kootu in particular).
Ingredients Needed :
Lentil/Thoor dhal /Channa dhal- 1/2 cup
Red chilli - 2
Oil/ghee - as needed
Salt - as needed
Coconut powder - as needed - it is optional
Brinjal - 1
Dhaniya/kothamallivirai - 1/2cup
Method of preparation :
1) Deep fry brinjal in a tsp of oil. Add coconut, dhaniya and fry well
2) Heat pan, fry red chillies, channa dhal(or thoor dhal)
3) Mix dhal, red chillies, brinjal, salt, coconut, dhaniya, fried brinjal and grind well in a mixie
