Robbie’s Complete Automotive Specialists was established in 1983. It was a joint venture between my father and myself. We took over an old tire dealer, Schwab Tire. The building was originally built in 1928. Schwab Tire Company was in business for over 30 years in this location. It was originally owned by Sam Schwab and passed down to his son Mike. Schwab Tire was a long time landmark in Dover. Mike Schwab was fed up with the automotive industry and agreed to sell his business to me while he financed the building. We did keep one employee, Hank Will III. He was a former Electrical Engineer from Picatinny Arsenal. Together, he and I made all the necessary renovations needed to get the new business started.
