In 1978, his entrepreneurial attitude made him launch a small grocery shop. His lawyer friend helped him get Rs.4600 loan from Vysya bank trichy india. Due to lack of experience in this space he was left with Rs.4000 debt.
He found a government job in collectors office. To settle his debt , he applied for Sabina the popular dish washing powder distribution rights. He will be working full-time in morning and will be selling Sabina in the evening. With his hardwork and never dying attitude, he was able to clear his Rs.4000 debt.
Then comes the turn of tide. Once he saw some street-side vendor selling dates in an unhygienic environment. He was asking them to sell it in packed fashion. The vendor jokingly asked him to pack and sell it to public. Now comes the idea of Lion dates. He bought a lot of dates , packed and sold it through sabina distributors. It started gaining momentum. It had grown as a full-time business and had grown to a point wherein he can quit his full-time government job to work on his entrepreneurial venture
Eventually he traveled to muscat,omen and bought lion dates syrup. However, not sure about the form to be used, he chose to mix it with milk and marketed this strategy to public. IT turned out to be a great reach.
Now,they own factories near to trichirapalli. Following her father's footsteps Anitha ponnudurai an MBA from London does successfully run their business along with her husband MR.Rajkumar ganapathy who has broad global experience and exposure
