Deleting gmail accounts when you no longer need it can be done as follows. Follow the steps given below :
1) Log into the gmail account by issuing your username and password
2) Click on the Settings Tab. Settings tab appears at the top right corner of the gmail page.
3) Click the accounts tab in the Settings Menubar
4) Click the Google Account Settings. Personal Settings Page Will Appear
5) Click the Edit link next to My Products. My products will have a brief summary of google products like adsense, blogger, gmail, feedburner etc..
6) Click on Remove gmail permanently to delete the gmail account.

To my surprise I wanted to check my gmail and I found strange characters appearing in my gmail login page. I thought that it could be due to browser corruption. It did appear after system reboot. Gmail team have been coming out with plethora of new features. One such announcement from gmail team today is the drag and drop the attachments into messages.
We will always have a pin icon below the subject line which we'll make use of to attach files. Now we can drag and drop the attachments into gmail messages. This is going to save whole lot of time. Lets enjoy this.
One thing to be noted is that this feature works fine with Mozilla Firefox 3.6, Google Chrome. Gmail team has assured to extend this functionality to other browsers soon.

This will help us to check all the open connections relevant to our account. This is a trigger that is automatically sent to every user when same account is open in more than one country.
Chances are that our family,friends, relatives might access our account from many different parts of the world. In such cases we can ignore this alert.
This is a great security measure from Gmail Team. Beware of scammers who can scam others knowing your account details.
We'll have a warning message of the form "Warning: We believe your account was last accessed from : Contryname". We can click on show details and preferences to find more information. This is an automated security alert from Gmail Team.
Gmail Keyboard Shortcuts, Keyboard shortcuts With Gmail, Gmail Tips And Tricks:
Today I was checking the settings section of my gmail to do some changes in my profile. I happened to notice an interesting option called keyboard shortcuts under General Section Of Settings.
There was an option named keyboard shortcuts. It was the second option below the Maximum page size. I took some time to explore its details. Here is an interesting article on keyboard shortcuts in gmail.
The option keyboard shortcuts is set to keyboard shortcut off by default. If we make changes to it and click on save changes.
To my surprise I again disabled it, saved the changes and tried shortcuts. It still worked fine. I did a log off and after that keyboard shortcut didn't work. Same thing happened when I enabled this, saved it and tried a shortcut. I had to logout and login again.
As a conclusion, whenever you many any changes to settings parameter, save it, you need to logout and login again for changes to take effect.
So, start by clicking on keyboard shortcut on. Save the changes. Perform a logout. Login again.

If we move to spam folder and check for that message we’ll find it there sorted Datewise. So, if you are going to move a message one week old, checkout one week older mails in spam folder to find it
