Quality control tools and techniques

Quality control is the process that falls in Monitoring and Controlling process group.
 
Quality control involves examining the final product/result/service(deliverable) of the project against the requirements(As the saying goes "Quality is conformance to requirements).
 
If there are any variances that occur due to assignable or special causes the process is corrected accordingly.Following are some of the tools used in performing quality control.
 

1) Cause and effect diagram :Also called as Ishikawa diagram or fishbone diagrm. It is used to identify the root cause of a problem and eliminate it. It is also used as tool in quality assurance and risk identification processes.
