Blackberry is the pioneer of smart phones and still RIM has many clients. We provide the list of steps needed to backup a blackberry phone
1) Start blackberry desktop manager. Helpdesk can be contacted to get a copy of desktop manager
2) Blackberry needs to be connected to computer. As with any smart phones use USB drive to connect phones to desktop
3) Enter blackberry password. This password is set and frequently used to unlock blackberry screen
4) From main menu, select Backup now
5) The default selection is FULL. Keep this selection
6) We can choose to change filename or leave it as it is
7) Click Backup to perform backup of data
8) On blackberry device, press menu button to display all applications
9) Open options application. Select security options entry. Select general settings. Press the menu button. Wipe handheld option must be chosen. Select continue. Enter blackberry in handheld type. This will wipe data from blackberry
