USCIS I-140 Address Change Filing Online Offline

Most of the readers ask me questions on address change during the green card processing. Most of the PERM cases have been approved in recent months. The next most important step is I-140. Within 180 days (6 months approximately) of PERM approval, I-140 has to be filed with USCIS (United States Immigration Services). People are confused as if change of address is permissible during this process.
All non-immigrant visa holders and lawful Permanent Residents must report a change of US address within 10 days of moving.  Filing an address change with USCIS is an easy two step process
1) Fill out form AR-11.  AR-11 form can be found online . You have two options for completing this form: you can download & print out the form, fill it in and mail it to the address indicated on the form or you can complete and submit the AR-11 form online. It recommend maintaining a record of the electronic filing by printing the change acknowledgement page online or sending it by mail with a delivery receipt request
2) The second step to completing the change of address requirements is contacting USCIS directly for pending applications.  To do this, you must call the USCIS customer service line (1-800-375-5283) and update your address on any PENDING applications
