I recently installed Google Chrome browser in my system. The first time I logged into the gmail with my username and password an yellow popup dropped from the top and asked my if the Password needs to be saved. There is another option which said Never For this site. I have seen the password saving feature in Mozilla firefox, internet explorer etc.
Here are my tips on how to keep your passwords safe, password management and many useful tips on password :
1) Always keep an Adsense account seperate from the gmail account in which you launch your blogspot
2) Keep the password of the Adsense account very complex (about 10 characters in length; alphanumeric; atleast one uppercase; one special character - there are many such complications we can apply to make it safe)
3) Don't save the password of any website in your personal computer. This acts as a great threat when your laptop system gets lost by chance. Advice your family members to follow this best practice
4) Make it a habit to change your password once in 30 days
5) While choosing password avoid name, name of places, your job title etc. Most of the systems have password strength meter to measure the strength of the password whenever a password is created. Choose a password which is strong (thick green bar, green tick etc...I don't even recommend medium strength)
6) Strongest Password for Monetary System - Change password of crucial websites including Adsense, Amazon affiliate, chitika premium, kontera, Paypal very strong. Change these passwords once a month. Are you in India? Are you a adsense publisher? Google will now have yoru adsense cheque delivered through bluedart. It is interesting to note that you don't have to pay courier charges. also the time lag caused during the cheque delivery before will no longer be there. Enjoy google adsense now and then
Too Bored of Blogging Comment Today :
Most of the times we feel bored upon continuous blogging. It also happens that we will be too upset when it happens that the traffic is good, blogging frequency is the same, but adsense earning shows $0 for days together. I've done a recent research and found that if your adsense earning shows about $0 for say 5 or more days you even decide to quit blogging.Commenting is the best way to keep yourself composed if you come across such situation.
7) When you create an account in some external website for purposes like link building, testing services, free trial download etc use a seperate userid and password. These should be different from the credentials of the monetary system mentioned above
8) Always create an userid and password when you purchase a new laptop or perform a fresh install. Encourage all your family members to have seperate user ids and password
9) Make it a habit to lock your computer or shutdown the laptop if you are not using it. This has side effect of prolonging the life of laptop and saves power
10) Clearing browsing history regularly is a good practice
