Chanting mantras An Astrological perspective is the answer to the confusion/query/questions that I had before two years. It was the time wherein I was a partial atheist, partial believer in god. So, what made me an astrologer now? Simple answer - Astrology is a science. Just like physics or any other science it is purely based on astrology. Vedic astrology predictions turn out to be 98% correct in most cases (note: from best astrologers) because time of birth is unknown in most of the cases.
As per one astrologer the moment a baby touches the earth (I'm still confused at this point -should we start considering the moment the baby's head is out or the moment it is fully out..))..kindly share your views in this regard...)...Now, lets come to the main topic of discussion..
Chanting mantras - Is it spirituality or a science. Astrology is related to both. In my opinion I see it as 100% science and mathematics.
One of my friends asked this question to me yesterday - If God is one, why should I pray to different god and goddess, chant different mantras as per astrology? For different problems different planets are mapped and mantras relevant to them, their deities need to be chanted. Say if you have saturn transit showing bad effects, you need to chant mantra of lord hanuman/anjaneyar, lord shiva and not lord saraswathi. So, what does this mean?
Mantras - I'm talking only about sanskrit mantras are made of syllabels which activate certain nodal points in every human body. Astrological chart/birth chart is the blueprint. The problem due to planets may be considered equivalent to road blocks. If there are blocks in a road, the city blurprint is taken as reference, the point needss to be located and blocks should be removed.
Similarly, with horoscope chart as reference, locate problem causing planets, fix it and chant mantras relevant to it so that the particular channels (called as nadis) in human body gets activated. This gives us end result. In our case Saturn is an earth element. As per astrological scriptures Sun and Saturn are enemies. So, if you chant Sun moola mantra it has natural tendency to increase body temperature, which will aggravate saturn ill-effects.
