Sweet Pumpkin Lentil Soup Squash Kootu Squash Channa Dhal Soup

Squash, sweet pumpkin is a great dish rich in pranic energy. I attended a yoga class recently and they adviced me to consume as much as white and sweet squash as I could. This is a great food rich in pranic energy. Also cholestrol is very less in these food items.
Ingredients Needed :
Channa Dhal/kadalai paruppu - 5tsp
Sweet pumpkin/squash - boil it in a pan with salt,turmeric
urad dhal - 2tsp
chilli - 3
asafeotida - powder
Tamarind - small size
coconut - 4tsp
Method Of Preparation
1) Pressure cook channa dhal/kadalai paruppu
2) In 1tsp oil fry urad dhal, chillies
3) Mix urad dhal, chillies, tamarind, coconut. Grind well in mixer grinder
4) Now add squash, pressure cooked channa dhal, mixture paste and mixwell. Add salt to taste
This acts as a great side dish along side spicy main courses including sambar, kuzhambu, rasam to name a few.
