Diwali Sweet Sochiappam Festival Series

Diwali the festival of light is on its way. Many of us always want to prepare something different. Sweet and savouries preparation is not so difficult as we think. In this series we will be providing plenty of tips on methods used to prepare different sweets and savouries.
Ingredients Needed :
Ravai/Sooji - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Maida flour - 2 cup
Method of preparation :
1) Soak sugar in 2 tumbler water and boil it
2) While boiling, add ravai and mix well. It is like kesari consistency
3) Maida flour, mix with oil and prepare soft tacos (like poli) . Allow it to rest for 2 hours
4) Like poli, place sugar pooranam inside maida tacos and fry it in oil
Note : We can replace sugar with jaggery. In this case 1 tumbler jaggery + 1 tumbler water
This when prepared with sugar can be retained for more time than when prepared using jaggery
