How do I prepare Paneer? Paneer preparation Steps

Paneer also called as panir is an exotic product made out of milk. It is the Paneer Butter Masala that we think of when we hear about paneer. Tofu a less calorie replacement of paneer serves the same purpose. In this post we'll be discussing on how to prepare paneer at home.
Ingredients Needed :
Milk - 1 litre
Lemon Juice/Citric acid(orange juice can be used) - 1/2 tsp
Water - as needed
Method Of Preparation :
1) Dissolve lemon in water(2tsp)
2) Heat milk in a pan and as milk heats, gradually add the citric acid(diluted with water) to it
3) Milk curdles. Turn off the flame
4) Cover for 35 minutes
5) Drain into a muslin cloth. Soft cotton cloth can also be used
6) Press out excess water
7) Shape and place the cloth under weight for one day
