Here are my few cents on what google blogger team can do to make blog more sophisticated. We know that blogspot is aimed at static websites. I see some features in Google Sites product which can be integrated with blogspot so that we don't have to migrate to a new website using content management systems (CMS) like Wordpress, Joomla, Google sites etc.
1) At the end of every post there can be one additional button to delete the post. If this exists, we don't have to go to dashboard everytime to choose and delete a post
2) Blogger has provision to include Adsense ads between posts, at sidebar and bottom of posts. It would be great if blogger has an adsense provision to be included inside a post. This can come in following form
2.1) As a feature added to toolbar in post editor. This is the case with Google Sites
2.2) In layout, in body section this feature can be included
3) Adsense position option can be integrated. This is present in Google sites. When we choose to add Adsense as a gadget, we have colour customization (This feature is not in Google sites. This can be included as an additional feature in Google sites), type of unit to be included. In addition position - left, right, centre can be included
