How to grow In Your Current Job?

The moment we join an organization this is a common question that will arise in almost everyone of us. This is simply said than done. Most of the people don't grow not because they are not capable of growing but because they don't know the exact methods and strategies to grow. Here are some interesting strategies from my personal experience that I'd like to share with you all. Try these simple tips and see the way it works. 1) Don't be a job hopper - One of my friends started his career in a tech firm. In a span of 1 year he changed 3 employers with a 50% rise from what he made at the beginning. Many people consider this as the best progressing method. In reality this doesn't work. He could have stayed with the same employer for 1 year and the hike in that case would have been more than 70%. Your tenure on employment is the benchmark of your credibility. Most employers don't like job hoppers 2) Take responsibility on your own - Many people complain that they lack job satisfaction as they are not offered the position they deserve. A simple example is a software firm in which the position offered to my friend in system administration. He is a good programmer. He was upset at the beginning. Later he did some research on the existing system and found the space to automate operational tasks. The 100% automation task is a self-interest project not included in schedule. He presented the project to his team and was promoted the manager of the team. All this happened in less than one year. Always never complain try to find space and opportunity to grow ahead 3) Frequent Presentation OF Work - This is very important. Make it a point to present your work in form of powerpoint presentation rather than simple conversation. This makes the meeting interesting and interactive 4) Ask for a salary rise - When you get a better job offer and want to stay with the current employer, present your job offer to the current employer and ask for salary rise. This works out in some case. Simple step but ignored by many. In this presentation make a presentation of your previous projects and the way it helped the employer etc
