Distribution of information implementation of communication management plan

As per PMBOK , Communication Management includes the processes required to ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, distribution, storage, retrieval and ultimate disposition of project information.Project managers spend 90% of their time in this knowledge area. In this article we are going to discuss in-detail about various processes that form a part of the Communication Management knowledge area, their inputs, tools and techniques, outputs. We'll be also discussing in detail on where they fit into project management framework.Various processes that constitute/part of communication management knowledge area includes : 1) Identify stakeholders 2) Plan communications 3) Distribute information 4) Manage stakeholder expectations 5) Report performance This is a process in execution process group.Communication management plan is a subsidiary(subplan) plan of project management plan.Distribute information/Information distribution is the process in which communication management plan is implemented. Project manager spends 90% of his time in the process of communication.Information distribution determines what needs to be communicated, to whom should we communicate and in what format. Project manager should also make sure that communication has been received properly, it is effective and efficient. Project manager needs to determine the amount of information that needs to be communicated to the stakeholders, their format, means of communication.Different stakeholders should be distributed different information depending on their order of importance
