Logging On to R/3 System

The SAP R/3 basis system is generally known as middleware or kernel, which is the nucleus of R/3 system. It is the set of programs and tools that interfaces with the operating system, the database, the network communication protocols, and the presentation interfaces. It is independent of operating system or database the R/3 system is installed on and guarantees the integration of all application modules.

A R/3 system is a client system.During each user session we can access only the data of the client selected during logon.A client,in organizational terms is an independent unit in R/3 system. Each client has its own data environment and hence its own master data and transaction data,assigned user master records, chart of accounts and specific customizing parameters.

For clients to logon to system a user master record relevant to the client must be created.To secure user access password security has been implemented. Passwords are hidden and we see asteriks when we type characters.For the language to be used for a logon session choose the language from Language input field.

Multiple log ons are logged in the system. This is for security purpose and license purpose. A warning message occurs if the same user tries to log on more than once.The multiple logon warning message offers three options:

1) Continue with the current logon and end any other logons in the system

2) Continue with the current logon without ending any other logons in the system

3) Terminate current logon

Windows Device Manager - Navigation And Uses

Windows Device Manager - which has its debut in Windows 95, was obsolete in Windows NT. Windows releases after NT 4.0 had Windows device manager in tham.
Uses of windows device manager :
1) Helps in assiting problems related to hardware
2) Windows device manager is used to check the current status of the hardware
3) It is used to configure device properties and settings
4) It is used to uninstall and reinstall hardware. This can only be done by personnel with administrative system privilege. If a normal uses tries these tasks following error popsup :
"You do not have sufficient security privileges to uninstall devices or to change device properties or device drivers. Please contact your site administrator, or logout and log in again as an administrator and try again."
5) It is used to update, view, rollback device drivers

As a blogger our first concern would be website design. Plenty of factors are considered starting from page layout , colour combination (title, text, links, sidebar etc). Now we'll be seeing best possible layouts.

I happened to read an article which claims that the author is going to suggest me best layout. I visited his website. On seeing his sites web design I picked few points on layout and applied for my site. It did work good. Layout is not only important in terms of adsense conversion but also in terms of increasing the users average visit length. Following are the factors to be considered while designing layout  :

1) Always our eyeball moves from left to right

2) Left sidebar works the best. It can be 200px wide

3) Main wrapper of width 900px works the best

4) Leader board advertisement on top of post title will have the best conversion as it displays the highest converting ads

5) If we place sidebar in left side, place a rectangular ad unit on left side below post title (like my site)

I see that most of the rental offices at USA start functioning at 9:00A.M and close at 5:00P.M. Property managers are full-time employees employed by these rental offices and are available during this time. Apart from this on weekends they open around 10:00A.M and close around 5:00P.M

I'm on apartment hunt recently. In most of the cases I see that they open at time when my office start and close when I leave from office. Is LLC Always Good For Tax Purpose?
This is a common perception that most have but doesn't turn out to be true most of time. We had a discussion with a tax consultant recently and here are some interesting points on tax benefits of an LLC
1) When we are an employee 6.75% is the percentage we pay towards SSN tax (approximate) which is 50% of it and employer pays 50%. Whereas in case of a LLC we have to pay twice that 13% (approximately)

2) 401K sponsored by employer allows employee to save $17000 per annum. In case of LLC it is possible to save $50000 per annum which is too big. But wait . It happens only in case of $150000 revenue per annum

NRI Account Opening SBI (State Bank Of India)

State bank of India is one of the best nationalized bank with very good online service facility. This includes easy money transfer using internet banking, online fixed deposit opening etc. If you are an NRI (Non-resident Indian) staying outside India it is a very good option to have an NRI account with SBI.
NRI account comes in two major forms - NRO, NRE
NRE - Your Indian transactions (deposit, withdraw at India) can't happen with this account. Also, if we open fixed deposit in NRE scheme interest earned is non-taxable (but interest rates are substantially lower)
NRO - We can operate our Indian transaction in addition to overseas transaction using this account. If you are planning to start a business this is the right chooice. Fixed deposits yield good returns under NRO. The interest earned under this scheme is taxable. Tax percentage depends on your country of residence, taxation rules etc. Usually it is about 30%
In either case (NRE savings, NRO Savings) if we have money in our savings account we earn a interest of 3.47%. SBI makes the NRI account opening process very easy and simple. Here are the steps to create a new NRI account with SBI :
1) Log onto SBI NRI website and download NRI Account opening forms online (Right corner-> Download Forms->Open An Account)
2) The account opening form will have NRE in the header. Strike it out and make it NRO if you are planning to open an NRO account( There is no separate form for opening NRO. I got this confirmation from SBI customer support representative today). Another change in Section II (Account Details Types of Account to be opened in first page is needed) Change Non-Resident (External) Savings Bank Account to Non-Resident(Ordinary) Savings bank account
3) Fill the necessary details.
4) Attach an attested copy of passport (only first page, last page, filled pages, pages with visa stampings,I-94 in case of H1-B,H-4 visas etc) are needed. Also, include copies of valid visa, identity proof etc. All these photocopies need to be attested by notary public, your banker abroad (If you maintain a bank account in your country of residence (say USA,UK) your bank will have facility to attest your copies))
5) Attach proof of telephone bill,electricity bill, recent bank statement, cancelled cheque etc - Two such proofs are needed
6) In case of joint account the documents mentioned in step 4 and step 5 are needed for both the applicant
7) There are two types of branches -Ordinary branch, Personal banking branch (PBB)/Sp PBB. If your branch is an ordinary branch send a cheque/DD for Rs.1000. In case of personal banking branch send a cheque/DD for Rs.5,000
8) If you are going for a DD it is addressed payable to :
Branch Name Your Name (Opening a new NRO/NRE Savings Account)
9) Attach your passport size photoes. Sign it across
10) Your signature in page 2 Section VIII (Specimen signature) need to be attested by notary public/banker abroad
